After saying for ages on this blog / twitter the ATOS system isn't fit for purpose, the National Audit Office have also confirmed the ATOS contract is flawed. Contract costing Government £112m, appeals against ATOS decisions costing the Government an additional £60m. On average a medical assessment cost £152, when you add to that the cost of travelling expenses to and from the medical, the total cost to the Governemnt is £200m. Duncan-Smith has got this contract seriously wrong and he needs to look more closely at the value for money the tax payer are getting out of this French company.
