Changes to Welfare Benefits aimed at forcing the disabled into the workplace may fall flat on its face. Currently, 7 out of 10 employers say they would not employ a disabled person if that persons medical condition was likely to lead to injury or accident in the workplace. So where does this leave Duncan Smith's new welfare vision? Probably with more long term unemployable people. The proposed Welfare changes are not going to work unless the Government makes radical changes to the Health and Safety at Work Act, Employment Law, Human Rights Act, Discrimination Laws and the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).
